The SEMI data is available at

semi.org

Click on Market Statistics, and then on Book-to-Bill data.

AMAT earnings reports are archived back to 1995 at

appliedmaterials.com

Click on News Room, and then on Press Release Archives for the earlier reports.

John,

the SEMI numbers are from

dom.semi.org

and AMAT's numbers (last five Q's) are from

stocksheet.com

earlier quarters will most likely have to be obtained from the SEC filings at Edgar or at the AMAT web site.

I didn't mean to imply that there is a strict relationship between AMAT rev. and SEMI bookings, but merely that these numbers can be used as as a rough guess on the upcoming AMAT report.

During bust times, AMAT's lead times are most likely shorter than during the boom phase of a cycle. Revenues should follow bookings quicker at the bottom of the cycle than at the top.

But during any phase of the cycle AMAT has roughly a third of the Semi Eq. market.
