ecman, what it means is execution processed by Etrade was very slow. You got lucky for filling at lower prices after the price has dropped. But just imagine if you were the seller your order would never have gone through, same thing if the stock was on the run and you were the buyer. Quick execution is one of the most important criteria for choosing a broker. ETrade does not measure up in this department.

Regards,

Tom

ECM,
I have had the same experience many times with E*Trade, got the stock for less than the current ask. Yesterday E*Trade stock set an all time record for percent increase for a stock that went public in the year that E*T ipo'd. The future looks bright for E*T because of the forward thinking management. The online brokers that are now restricting margin on clients (soon to be former clients) don't understand the new market that they no longer have control of.
