Dell as a short? Now that's nuts.
There are 500+ other companies with zero earnings, much more overvalued, not nearly the coverage and icon status, no comparable track record, and make much better shorts.
Why on earth would anyone short DELL?

The point is if and when it drops, it'll get scooped up so fast, and talked up as a great buy by every analyst, you won't be able to blink fast enough to cover and make money.

It's simply not worth the risk as a short.
Besides, Michael Dell could sell ice cream to eskimoes (aka analysts).

Yes I like Dell, no I don't have a position either way. Although, I've made good money on it in the past few years.
