my parents were Romans w/ an awful sense of humor. what can I say? (G) I don't recall an article but there were press releases quoting "unamed sources" at the time.

The news should be 1-7 days before the first rate cut in Oct. The rumor was not in the title. It was only among the news. I am 100% for sure that I read that news on Yahoo financial site that there was a rumor on Wall street that the fed was going to cut the rate. I, personally, haven't made it a big deal because that site is so popular, and I am sure I am not the only who ever read that piece of news.
