One thing to remember with these momentum stocks is that it is not just valuation alone that determines when we short a stock. Imon was overvalued at 3 dollars but we did not short until the stock looked like it was going from it's pump phase to it's dump phase. On Friday morning when I chose too short, all the news was out and it was obvious the mo mo's and the multiple insiders filing who were not out all ready would be out soon. There was really nothing left to drive the stock up so we shorted. We also look at the volume relative to the price action. If you don't pay attention too these things and don't have a planned entrance strategy ( when too average up-when too cover), then you can eat up a lot of capital watching an overvalued short continue to rise on you. Ala K-tel at a pre-split 20. Personally I had shares borrowed and ready to short on USAT but was looking for a little more volume before I jumped in. Obviously that didn't work out for me that time. I kicked myself for not jumping in. I had a limit order at 56 for a starter position that I thought it would trade up through but didn't. I kicked myself for not being in when it was halted, but not too hard. (It has been a good year.) If you read people whose trading styles you respect, you will not only find some good trades, but over time start to understand why they are good trades.

Just some musings of my own.
