Yesterday I went through the Washington business page list of 100 local stocks it follows, 49 were down for the week, 56 were down for the last four weeks, 55 were down for the year.

Yesterday I spent a lot of time surfing the net, I want to buy some opal rondell beads for a necklace I want to make, and I read on a gemstone dealer's web page that the economic problems in Japan are causing deflation in gemstone prices, as well. Gemstones are cut in Thailand, mostly, also Indonesia, so that's one more economic problem, not one you ordinarily read about.

The global economy is slowly deflating, even as we speak. My crystal ball is clear enough to see that.
