Prisa Selected to Provide Fibre
Channel Networking for DVCPRO
News Automation System

SAN DIEGO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 1,
1999--Prisa Networks, Inc. announced today (1/26) that Panasonic Broadcast & Digital Systems
Company (PBDSC) has selected Prisa's gigabit-per second Fibre Channel network solution for its
DVCPRO News Automation (DNA(TM)) digital video server system.

Prisa's NetFX Fibre Channel host adapters, hubs and high-speed networking software will be used
within DNA systems, consisting of high-speed newsBYTE(TM) nonlinear editing systems networked
with Silicon Graphics® (SGI) Origin200(TM) GIGAchannel servers.

Prisa-supplied hardware and software enable users to achieve the fastest transfer times of any
current Fibre Channel solution, offer the ability to improve workflow while file transfers occur in the
background, and provide access to any media file on the network as though it were stored locally.

DNA is a highly automated end-to-end central server system based on Panasonic's DVCPRO
recording and file format. A turnkey system, it delivers high-quality video and audio, fast transfer and
dubbing capabilities, and a powerful video file server for highly-automated playback control. With a
speedy 4X SDTI transfer rate, the system is easy to use, especially for editors who learned
linear-style editing. Editors use the newsBYTE editor, then ''drag and drop'' the media file with
completed stories into the server, saving significant time in the editing process.

Tore Nordhal, PBDSC Vice President, Product Development, said, ''Panasonic is pleased to
include the Prisa Fibre Channel networks solution as part of our DNA solution. We believe our total
DVCPRO acquisition, news production and delivery system will be well served by our cooperation
with Prisa.''

Noted Marc Friedmann, President of Prisa Networks, ''We are pleased to be working with
Panasonic as it launches this advanced line of news delivery systems. Building on our recently
announced strategic relationship with Silicon Graphics, the application of our Fibre Channel
networking solution for broadcast systems marks a new and significant step for our company.''

Pigboy,

A little in-out in-out on the ANCR shorts today ;-) Yes I have seen "A clockwork Orange" about 50 times... Going to see Lucy for a beverage right now.
