Good morning Laz!!!

Had to pull another all-nighter as I have a book review due this afternoon. For some reason, I just have to write these darn things in one sitting... don't know if it will ever change.

Whenever I've got a paper on the horizon, I end up having to clear the whole schedule in anticipation of its due date.

Woe is me... At least it was a good book!

Have a good day DGIVers!!!

Dave

Steven Mather, a 37-year old computer consultant from
Tampa, Fla., trades stocks from his laptop for an hour or
so each day, but admits, "I get very paranoid when I can't
get to a computer to watch what's happening." He gave
up work to trade full-time from his home for a few
months last year-and promptly lost $35,000.

Sounds like a real idiot!

Is he deterred? No. "I'm planning on going right back in,"
Mr. Mather declares. "But I need more... . I'm not going
back without $100,000." Although he readily
acknowledges he's a gambler with a penchant for
blackjack and the local dog track, he doesn't consider his
online habit a problem. As he puts it, "I make a lot of
money," and he claims to have hundreds of thousands of
dollars stashed in longer-term brokerage accounts.

This guy needs some serious psychological help!

Good morning everyone!!! Thanks for the article Laz. That could have easily been me last spring. I think I've got it pretty much under control now. I've only made one trade in the last 6 months (and now see that I would have done better if I hadn't (but not a lot better)).
Well, I'm on the beach for a little while, trying to find a new projects. It's very strange knowing I won't be headed for Kentucky any time soon. I hope everyone is well.
Later.
Kurt

Afternoon Laz and all...

Going along with the article on the dangers of daytrading, here's a cute article from theStreet.com on when to hold 'em, when to fold 'em, and when to bet the farm...

Have a good day all...
