A push towards online mortgages can only mean a foreshadowing for epayment for that mortgage?

Mortgages are a $1.5 trillion industry. The leading company, Norwest Mortgage, has an about 8 percent market share and no direct Web presence. Not many in the industry do.

"The boom we expect in online mortgage originations is going to affect leading publicly traded banks, thrifts and mortgage banks that originate, service or invest in residential mortgage loans," Marks said.

"For those that don't adjust well, the coming online mortgages will not be pleasant," Marks added

Speaking of Portfolios and such...

On the e-comm the next 100 months thread we started one too at the end of February 1998.

techstocks.com

We started it based on collective knowledge gleened from this internet thing we're tapping into. The Portfolio is now 11 months old on it's way to fullfill the 100 month target.

Please note that PPR is a Prime rate money market or something like that. Currently we as a group in this hypethical e-comm portfolio have over 1/2 of our origional starting $20,000 cash in cash(PPR)...and we have doubled our origional investment of $20,000 in 11 months by comittee.

The goal is to take 20k in 1998 and turn it into 1mm in 100 months.

We have a very open forum going on over there and anybody who wants to participate is welcome.

Including you Brooks who is looking for the next CKFR.
