Thanks for sharing your knowledge. It is obvious that you are quite familiar with the technical and economic aspects of this industry and I appreciate your perspective. I will take your advice and look into the QCOM discussion.

I used to own shares in ROK more than a couple of years back when the semiconductor business was just a tiny part of the company and I remembered that the GaAs part of the business was very small and primarily for defense applications. I didn't give it much thought until the recent spin off of Conexant. I just started following this sector and have much to learn .... obviously. I have read elsewhere that this sector has tremendous topline growth prospects over the next five years and am looking for a candidate investment. RFMD has a good recent earnings record while ANAD and TQNT looks like potential earnings turnarounds if they (and their customers) can get back on track.
