Ancor Communications Pledges Support for The FibreAlliance; Management Standard Key to Widespread Storage Network Adoption, Company Says MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Ancor Communications Inc. (Nasdaq: ANCR), a leading Fibre Channel switch provider, said The FibreAlliance can lead the way to widespread storage area network (SAN) adoption in 1999 by enhancing SAN management. EMC Corporation announced the formation of The FibreAlliance today to establish and promote standard ways of managing Fibre Channel-based SANs.
