You mentioned only one case, the Jones suit. Clinton lost that one.

It is part of the mandate of the Special Prosecutor to clear people if a case cannot be made. However, a case unmade is not a case won. In the case of the lawsuit, the settlement came before final disposition by the appeals court. Before the appeals court has spoken, the matter remains unsettled. Finally, although I do think that the President's side won a couple of things, most of the rulings sought were unfavorable to the President. That's why it is so hard (even for you, apparently) to remember one that was favorable.

Starr admitted only that there would be no referral to Congress on Whitewater and Filegate, etc. To say there is no basis is plain wrong. As you may recall, the Whitewater investigation has resulted in numerous convictions. As to Vince Foster, Starr cleared that up long ago and found it was a suicide. The coverup after his death is another matter. I'd say your memory is not selective but more like defective. JLA
