Glad we're on the same page on CMED... looks like a money maker to me.

PCR.. A missed chance but glad to have discovered it. It reports the 16th and you never know what more is in store.

While checking out some possible earnings plays for middle of February yesterday and rechecking now, I had PCR come out high on all points. It had a very good day Monday and jotted down to watch it on Tuesday. Of course I had so many other companies that I failed to give it the proper attention today.. too bad.

Perini Corporation provides general contracting and construction management services and real estate development operations. Construction management services consists of three main categories namely building, civil and international. Civil includes highways, subways and tunnels. Buildings include healthcare, sports complex and hotels. International includes both services and actual construction. Real estate development operations involve arranging finance, installation of roads and utilities and selling. Construction accounted for 96% of 1997 revenues and real estate 4%.

I liked the fact that the stock was beginning to move yesterday already on low volume.

1) improving chart patterns but not too much of a strong uptrend that would preclude it as a good candidate for earnings play.. first it broke its 50 day moving average began moving up on Feb 1 on low volume. On Feb 2 it moved up further on more volume. Is somthing up here with the company?

2) Upon checking the fundmentals I saw that PCR is expecting a 500% gain in EPS for 1998.

When I checked after the close today I saw it had already gained 19% today on a very down day when few sectors were bucking the trend. That is why you have to be open to any stock in any sector that might provide for a nice pop even if its just for one day (19%)was not too shabby

My point is that you never know what your next earnings play will be. Will it be UBET or INDI or even this PCR. Small companies with 500% growth is not unusual and for our purposes would have provided a nice gain.
