Gustave...

>>Software AG today announced plans to release in March its Tamino XML server that manages XML data, a new Java-based devlelopment tool, and a DCOM-enabled middleware product for enterprise application integration. Bolero is a development tool for building server-side Enterprise JavaBeans, while EntireX lets companies distribute and integrate applications and software components for different environments, including mainframes, Windows and Unix platforms. <<

The more visibility of XML the better for ODIS. I do not think this announcement directly impacts ODIS however XML keeps gaining acceptance and that is great.

Regarding webMethods, are they "powered" by ODIS SW? ODIS is not mentioned in the press release you pointed to and for some reason I could not get onto ODIS's web site to check to see.

webMethods' award-winning products are in use at leading companies including DHL Airways, Hewlett-Packard, Ericsson, Cisco Systems, Discovery Communications, Motorola and Nortel, and work with Web server, database and ERP application products from vendors such as Microsoft, Netscape, Oracle, Sybase, Informix, SAP, PeopleSoft, J.D. Edwards, and Baan.

Object Design does not even rate a mention. The stealth technology continues to work!

I belive that webMethods' B2B will work with ObjectStore, but also it will work with Oracle, Informix etc. So success for webMethods tells us nothing about how ODIS is doing.
