Well, Mike, I don't have any database I can refer you to.....all I can offer is anecdotal evidence (my own experience in this field).....it appears to me that there are basically two camps of mortgagors; one camp believes in paying down the principal just as quickly as they can, and the other's concept of fiscal responsibility is to worry about how to get everybody paid this month and exert little control over their spending habits, which makes every month more of a challenge.....the first camp has their equity building at a very fast rate and the second is losing ground on equity.....I don't have a good feel for the proportions of the two camps relative to each other which, to me, would indicate that they are probably evenly divided overall.....the older the applicant, generally, the more financially astute they are..generally.
