Hi Kemble! I have been a looong-time lurker on this thread and had to finally say something! I retired from the flying business 3 years ago at age 50 and decided to play with my lump-sum pension fund and 401k funds. I opened an account with an online broker and began buying and selling...frequently buying high-risk stocks that were being talked about by the daytraders. For the balance of my portfolio, I traded the old standby's that I had been buying for over 20 years - the big oils and such. Since I retired with one of the major oil companies, I felt that my money would be safer with them and would return the normal 15-20% annually to which I had become accustomed throughout my professional career. Then, in 1996, I stumbled into this thread..and my life changed. I decided to "take a chance" with Dell - buying a few thousand shares and selling quickly on any small pop ups. Did ok (I thought)except that I always seemed to buy it back a few days or weeks later at a higher price! I finally decided to go whole hog with Dell and watch it closely. I am one of those ones who is fully diversified in one stock for 100% of my portfolio. This company has changed my life and that of my family. I was blessed to become a Dellionaire almost twice over this past couple of months and I no longer have any financial fears for the coming years - only great excitement and enthusiasm!! So, for the young(er) folks out there who think AGE is a requirement for retirement - THINK AGAIN. Age has never been the requirement.....money has. Now, I ride my Harley every day I can and buy more Dell every chance I get! I can't begin to thank all the fine people here who's advice and experience I have been quietly soaking up, but I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart and hope each of you is having as much fun and making as much money as I am with this fantastic stock! Don't have much to add to this thread, but you can always know I will be here supporting all. In addition, as a native Texan, I am tickled pink to own a stock from my beloved Texas! Go DELL... Rojo
