Jim- As you know, I have been fairly supportive of Kumar (compared to others on the thread) in that I have recognized that he made some excellent calls last summer..(granted, lately he has missed the party...)

I think, though, it was real bush league for him to mention, as a support to his argument, that Dell' marketshare has fallen (from, what, 9.2% to 8.4%) when he knows darn well that the Q3 figure (9.2%) was skewed because Compaq and others were not selling into the channel in order to clear out inventory...that, in reality, Dell's marketshare has not fallen.....Dell continues to gain..but that Q3 was an anamoly for the reason mentioned...

He should have qualified his statement...I take back my criticism if he was misqouted....

You really gonna shine here if you are right about data storage...It looks like data storage is not even a concept for Kumar (and the other analysts)...
