VCLL..Looks good. News today. ThermaCell Starts VaxCell(TM) Production Ahead of Schedule; Will Add to 2Q99 Results SARASOTA, Fla., Feb. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- ThermaCell Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: VCLL, VCLLW) announced that it has initiated full-scale production of its innovative VaxCell(TM) microspheres a quarter ahead of schedule, enabling the Company to realize increased revenues and earnings in the second quarter ended March 31, 1999. VaxCell production was originally planned to begin in the third quarter ended June 30, 1999. VaxCell(TM) microspheres are microscopically small, evacuated spheres of glass that can be used as a more effective and less expensive material to increase insulation value, reduce weight and increase strength of a wide variety of products and materials. Earlier this month, ThermaCell announced that it is on track to become profitable for the first time, starting in the second quarter, on an approximate 100% increase in sales to about $1.4 million compared to $712,347 in the year ago second quarter. John Pidorenko, Chairman, President and CEO of ThermaCell, said that early VaxCell production will increase ThermaCell's revenue run rate and will have an even greater impact on earnings due to the high margins associated with VaxCell(TM) sales. "We can also step up the fulfillment of current VaxCell(TM) agreements and can move forward in developing further agreements to meet new demand for our microsphere technology," said Mr. Pidorenko. ThermaCell has a first agreement to sell large quantities of VaxCell(TM) microspheres to Energy Strategies, Inc. of Boca Raton, which is expected to result in sales of one million pounds and approximately $3 million in revenues over the course of 1999-2001. Energy Strategies distributes insulation materials. ThermaCell Technologies, Inc. is a vertically integrated manufacturer and marketer of technologically enhanced coatings and building materials that provide improved insulation, protection, strength, longevity and value at a lower cost than conventional materials. The Company's www.thermacell.com web site is one of the first e-commerce paint stores on the Internet.
