You do not have a clue when it comes to data processing.

We are part of a W. Michigan Y2K users group, Amway, Steelcase, Michcon, Consumers, etc., discussing all of these issues and have a lot more information that would take days to type and post, I have better things to do.

Until you have worked in various Information Systems departments to get even a basic understanding of programming, design and testing, which you don't have, don't even bother posting, it just shows your ignorance.

Just finished getting a cashier's check to have a back-up propane generator system put in. What I heard in terms of delivery are pretty frightening. This past October when I was checking out various generators, delivery time was approximately 2-3 weeks.

MANUFACTURERS NOW HAVE A 14 MILLION BACKORDER ON PROPANE GENERATORS The distributor my electrician talked to currently has 14,000 on backorder.

Delivery on most smaller systems is August/September with some models extending through remainder of year. There were a couple of models with February 2000 delivery dates. I'm not sure about the largest systems.

I ordered a mid-size back-up system with a June anticipated delivery. To have the entire system installed is $7,800.

Apparently price lists are practically out-dated as they are printed. Component vendors are upping their prices and generator prices are beginning to escalate.

While diesel generators have late delivery dates also, the situation is not as bad as with propane.

I asked the electrician if he would be interested in doing a partnership with me, where I would fund the purchase of propane generators now - to build up inventory for installation down the road. This is probably a safer investment at present, than the stockmarket, with a guaranteed, excellent rate-of-return.

We're going to discuss it tonight.

If anyone has any suggestions on how I should handle this arrangement with him, I would appreciate if you could PM me. I have some local people here I could talk to, but would appreciate any help you can offer.

Thanks,

Cheryl
