Steve, I don't know about the other thread readers, but I appreciate you and others sharing their knowledge of the processes with us. It certainly helps develop a better appreciation for the requirements of the different tools. I think we're straying from the SVG topic here! And a Gem from an ML weekly news update... Silicon Valley Group Hosts Lithography Tour On Tuesday, January 26 th Silicon Valley Group (SVGI, C-3- 2-9, 16 7/16) hosted an analyst visit to their lithography operations in Wilton, CT. From the visit, it was very evident that SVGI has world class lithography technology, a product pipeline to meet industry requirements and production capacity to meet the future system demand. The highlight of the meeting was the announcement of their new 193nm system. The company shipped the world's first development 193nm system in 1993 and is now introducing its first production model. The challenge for management is to now expand the market beyond Intel, IBM and Motorola. It has shipped a Micrascan system to a new Taiwanese customer.
