John - I heard an interesting story yesterday.

We're currently running OS/2 at work (which will of course change when we bring the new AS/400E online) and we're using Netscape 2 for the browsers. Some time back Ed had some sort of problem with it and he called Netscape. They asked him which version he was running and he said "Netscape 2 for OS/2" and the guy on the other end insisted that they don't make Netscape for OS/2. Ed said "Well that's funny, I've got it running right in front of me and we've used it for some time."

The Netscape guy put him on hold and after a while another guy got on the phone and had to admit that IBM actually wrote that themselves. I think this proves an early commitment from IBM to offer Netscape to their customers even if they had to pay for the source code (it wasn't free back then) and modify it.

Now that we're moving to NT I imagine we'll be using INNI when we start building some web presence.
