Emulex Becomes Charter Member of the FibreAlliance
Joins EMC-Sponsored Association to Implement Common Approach for Managing Fibre Channel-Based Storage Networks
COSTA MESA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 2, 1999--Emulex Corp. (Nasdaq:EMLX - news), a leader in fibre channel technology and products, Tuesday announced that it has joined the FibreAlliance as a charter member.

The FibreAlliance is a multivendor association sponsored by EMC Corp. [NYSE:EMC - news] and chartered to establish and promote standard ways of managing fibre channel-based networks of storage systems and computer servers. This partnership will provide customers of FibreAlliance members enhanced integration and higher functionality among fibre channel-based products, resulting in greater manageability, efficiency and cost effective SANs.
