Most times when contracting for a new home, we have a time span within which we can 'lock into' a preferred rate, even though rates vary weekly. Last week or the week before might have been the low of the cycle unless we get some safe haven buying because of Brazil or some other unknown in the next months. The other clue that we might have reached the low of the cycle is the issuance of new corporate bonds which try to issue debt at the lowest possible rate as evidenced by the recent offerings.
