You may already know of this one, but you might want to take a look at Southwest Securities (SWS), which is the parent company of mydiscountbroker.com. Also has clearing operations, as well as other standard brokerage operations. The company beat the lone Street estimate of .54 12/31/98 Q, by coming in at .57 vs. estimate of .50. SWS has 10.7 mil. shares out, owns 1.7 mil. shares of NITE. BV per the service I use is 14.34 at year end '98, so IMHO BV should be higher now, given that NITE is up substantially since year end. Lone '99 estimate has just been raised from 2.10 to 2.20 (through Q2 already 1.01 in), '00 estimate from 2.40 to 2.50. Trading in the 33-34 range, in comparison to the other brokers which have an online presence, this one is IMHO a great value. To me, it appears some volume is starting to come in, perhaps the stock is starting to get the notice which I feel it deserves.
Don't often post here, so good luck all with your own DD on this and others.
