Lilly U.S. president retires, new one set
Tuesday February 2, 3:13 pm Eastern Time

INDIANAPOLIS, Feb 2 (Reuters) - Eli Lilly and Co. said Tuesday that Alan Clark, president of U.S. operations and global marketing, will retire after 32 years at the pharmaceutical company and be replaced March 1 by Gino Santini.

Santini is currently president of the selective estrogen receptor modulator business unit, which includes the anti-osteoporosis drug Evista, and skeletal products.

Spokesman Ed West said Clark had mostly served the company in overseas positions.

Santini joined Lilly in 1983 and has held a variety of financial and marketing positions in Italy and Indianapolis.
