You're right about "I think that we can chuck today's numbers." Spring of 2000 is a whole new ball game.

Yes. And I expect Gore to say, "Yes, the President made mistakes in his private life. But do you agree with his policies, or don't you?".

If the Republicans still continue to lambast Clinton even when he is not running for re-election, the public is likely to tell them, "Just get over it, will ya, please?!" <G>
