Is it just me, or is Intel going to pull the same trick that AMD will most likely pull repeatedly this year? A launch date that is about a week and a half earlier than product availability?

Then again, it seems that the Pentium III is already being sold by a few renegade dealers out there:

This seems to suggest that there are plenty of Pentium III CPUs already out there, ready to be sold. Meanwhile, why is it that the only K6-3 out there is in the hands of a 16-year-old teenager?
