OT: Dell Gear... & Roth IRA's

mouse pad....????

hmmmmm....have to have $5MM to get one of those!!

just teasing ya....smiles......Mary

ROTH:
By the way...did anyone other than me have the good fortune to take advantage of the Roth conversion ....?? I did it in September after I lost....a huge chunk on change on C's slide from 182 to 82!!...so the tax bite...was lessoned....meanwhile..since then...the portfolio has doubled..so Uncle Sam will be taken care of...easily.

Sure feels good to have 80% of my portfolio there....making money "tax free" now.....super yummy!!

anyone who is unfamiliar with the Roth thingie: here's a site to check it out... fairmark.com fairmark.com talks about "reconversions...or actually re-characterizations..." which I did....once the C went down even more after I slid over to my Roth...
whew...it was hard keeping up with the losses for a while ((I was in the midst of an amicable divorce settlement...so couldn't "do anything" until the losses were locked in....))

also...if your kids work...consider opening one for them....money is removeable for education..!! (works for teens....who work...as mine do!)

hopes...this helps someone "save" on taxes....

smiles...mary

There is so much confidence on this thread, that i had to buy some more options on Dell. Stock just held up so well.
(Of course I am going to sell some of the options if we see 109 or above today).
I can't wait to see how Dell will do on a good market day!!

Lots of Luck to everyone.
