We've gone through about three years of deadlines. There is always some excuse. It takes a stronger person than I to put mom out on the street. I should point out that she is only 63, healthy, and has a Master's degree in Fine Art. We reached the last straw when she started hitting the kids with rulers. We reached a new last straw a few months ago when she let Nick (aged 10 at the time) walk to a shopping center two 1/2 miles away at sunset. We reached the final straw when she went through my husband's underwear drawer, found the kid's wallets, and "borrowed" their allowance. We reached another final straw when she was in a wreck, and tried to drive away because she does not have insurance. Every time I bring in the mail, and see another bounce notice from her bank, I cringe.

I am afraid to actually put her out, because I am afraid of damage to my reputation. She has threatened me with legal action on occasion.

Maybe Rambi would give me a hand?
