Korea, China, and even HK did very well. In the US SP were very strong. Enterprise was only fair...varied by indusrty. In Latin America was mixed - brazil was down. AJ Dawan (GS) Decline in GM. Pricing Presssure...where did it come from. Chambers - LAN Switching. Coming from traditional competitors in order to hold on to market share. Done on a transaction basis. S Chris Dupree(Morgan Stanley) New Start-Ups Pressure from them - Chambers - new start-ups in every catagory. D/V/V competitors and high end routers start-ups are coming in and give cisco concerns. These are where the opportunities are and therefore where the start-ups are coming from. 1/3 of total VC is being spent in Silicon Valley. philip (H&Q) Q3 will be challenging. Why?
