All Kernan was doing was laughing at the wording of the press release. It was poorly written at best. Anyone who saw it and didn't snicker, didn't read it. So for your edification, here's what Kernan read:
>>FOCUS-Perfumania spirals after CFO exit makes stink
Reuters Story - February 01, 1999 13:42
By Andrew Hay

NEW YORK, Feb 1 (Reuters) - Perfumania Inc. smelled Valentine's Day profits Monday when it launched an
online perfume store, but investors held their noses and sent the stock price down over 40 percent after learning
the retailer's chief financial officer would resign. <<

The reality is the CFO, was already demoted from CEO, and just happens to be current CEO's son in law. Failed nepotism at it's finest. It seems the announcement was made last Friday because it was the end of the fiscal year, and the announcement had to be made before the new year began.
My question is this: Is the writer Anthony's brother? <ggg>

Just sticking to the facts.
