Intel, which was to begin production of its chips using 0.18 micron technology in the second half of the year, planned to have all its manufacturing use the 0.18 micron process by the end of the year 2000. Currently, all of Intel's chip manufacturing has been using 0.25 micron process technology and 0.18 micron would enable even smaller linewidths and more features on a single processor. There is a one year lead time on this stuff - order to production floor. That means order ramp up real soon. Came out at 3:19 EST. No wonder CYMI finished strong.
