Paul,

The Sun/Windows hardware board is rather pointless. You can buy software for Windows (Exceed, Go Global) which allows you to connect from a Windows machine to a Solaris box. This allows multiple users with PC's to connect to a Sun Workstation, which is a lot more cost effective than buying a bunch of Sun Workstations to emulate PC's.

The Exceed or Go Global Solaris Window is identical to the Solaris desktop on the Sun, but behaves like any other window on the NT/Win98 machine.

Paul,
Sun was using PII in their original design. It did not work out very well, so they look
at K6 instead. Call Sun and ask.
