TD might have an IPO of an e-trading subsidiary to the market in Canada within 1 to 4 months. Apparently, 3 to 4 months is the ordinary time frame for having a preliminary prospectus approved by the OSC and the other securities commissions in Canada. Assuming that TD has done some preparatory work and has superior legal (and other) counsel, the time frame may possibly be compressed to the lower bounds.
