What is the minimum to open an account? $1000 for a cash acct., $2000 for a margin account. Is it SIPC insured? Probably. Can you sell an IPO you bot on the same day? In theory yes, in practice, it's a bit harder. My MKTW wasn't posted to my online account until the next day, and getting through to them on the phone on the day of an IPO is next to impossible (was on hold for about 45 mins before I gave up. Can you really get the IPO at the IPO price? Yes. Hope that helps. James.
