It is my understanding that all(??) of the equipment in a 300mm fab will have to be new, at least in terms of front end equipment. There may be a way to modify KLA's inspection tools or KLIC's bonders from 200mm to 300mm, I do not know for sure. But in terms of front-end equipment, which is AMAT's main area outside of Opal/Orbot inspection tools, there must be new equipment across the board. We are talking about a larger footprint(wafer size) so new tools are necessary to accommodate the larger wafer sizes. Brian BTW, K Derbyshire or Bob Grutza could give a more erudite answer than myself.
