A question to all:
Speaking of massive backup needs--isn't the solution to this higher density, even if somewhat slower disks? Or is their longevity more suspect than tape? Aren't something like TeraStor or Quinta the solution to this (assuming that they will be successful in bringing their technology to market)? And after that, in the ripeness of time (10-15 years, I suppose), holographic storage? Does tape have more than another decade or so of life (at least on the high end)?
