I really do hope we're not going to get into a discussion of responsible investing. There are different criteria for that, not the least of which is the investor's respsonsibility to his/her family's wealth. I'm very open-minded to the issues of responsible investing, but nothing closes my mind faster than sanctimonious diatribes insinuating that one person's criteria are less honorable than the next person's criteria.

I don't get you Kevin. Oracle is the number one database and Siebel has basically created a multi-billion dollar market, of which Clarify will get a portion. So to say that Larry and Tom don't fit your model of a CEO is fine, if thats what you want to say, but don't imply they aren't effective or made significant contributions.

Maybe Tom was trying to build brand recognition for all users: high, middle and low-end.. I guarantee you its not an ego thing.

Lighten up dude, you seem way too bitter (especially considering how well Clarify has done in the past few months).

Kevin, Let's see 10K invested in Oracle in 1985 is worth about 750K
Larry's personal wealth 9+ Billion
Siebel stock two splits and at 40
Tom net worth 1+ Billion
I will invest in these guys any day of the week
As an Ex-Scopus person (and ex-Siebel) I am long on this one

...The message is that the coiffures are so full...

Kevin, I haven't seen Tom or Larry in person lately, but last time I did it didn't look like they were dipping into their coffers to keep their coiffures full.

Unless, of course, you were referring to their egos, and attendant effects on the size of their respective heads.

:-)
