Thanks for the fine post. I was slow to believe you and MB about Compaq's stuffing the channel last year. For some reason, I am believing quicker this year (g). Especially after I noticed that Compaq's receivables had more than doubled. I mean, even allowing for the Tandem and DEC acquisitions, sheesh.

Question: if the deal to the channel is,..."we'll ship you 6 PCs, you pay for 5,...and payment isn't required until end of Feb", what gets posted to A/R? the price of 5, or all 6 PCs?
