Thread,

I lost power with about 2 hours to go in a turbulent and very volatile market holding INTERNET stocks... you just can't imagine how much I felt like throwing up... so much money, and so little control!

I dreaded looking at my portfolio when my power was restored ... finally, lo and behold... a gainful day! Eensy-weensy gain but a gain nonetheless.

I'm still ALIVE... despite 90MPH gusts! Looks like I got a whole bunch of DD to do!

Later,
SF

ANTC another earnings plays $23 1/4 +1 3/16 earnings tomorrow. 18 large blocks going through today. ANTC would have been a perfect buy if you were especially watching time & sales like I do with earnings plays. Of course you cant watch them all or buy them all. For me its a 'statistical analysis'. I especially like to analyze the earnings plays onn a down day. On an up day their percentage gain is usually higher than for the rest of the market but where they really shine is on a down day. We want to know if our trading strategies work in down markets as well as in up markets because that is the test of any trading system.

Jenna, I really appreciate your efforts on this thread. I can't day trade to take advantage of the earnings plays, but I do really appreciate it when you tell us stocks that you have in your intermediate and long term portfolio. Do you give more information with intermediate to long term picks through a subscription? Heck, I would be willing to pay a premium just to be able to track your intermediate to long term trades. Thanks again.

Jenna,

A little while ago, I asked you about THQI and you replied that it was a pretty solid company. You also mentioned JAKK as well. Well THQI has retreated about 25% in the last few weeks and once it finds a bottom, may be ripe for a position play. Don't know why it declined..nothing changed fundamentally with the company and it's coming up on what appears to be a tremendous earnings report.

Might want to check out SMTC too...same situation...solid company...good fundamentals...off about 25%. Once it finds a bottom, you may have another good position play.

FWIW,

Dave
