What did we learn today? 1. That the spinoff is for real, is coming soon, and will probably be announced on or shortly after February 17. 2. That the corporate investor is for real, involves a major investment in the spinoff, and could involve more than one company. 3. That almost certainly current idt investors will get shares in the spinoff, that plus the power of a mega-partner investor in net2phone means it could be a monster ipo when publicly traded. 4. That it is more likely that net2phone will trade at 80 than that idt will trade at 8. 5. That while market makers may try to force out weak hands, and the stock may or may not go down, if it does drop buyers will start swooping in because February 17 is close. 6. That at any minute the company could now release major news....or the name of the major corporate investor could be announced or could leak...making the stock bolt upward instantly. 7. That a major string of respected internet journalists and observers have written very favorably of easy surf and anticipated the ipo. 8. That there is buzz about idt all over the internet investment world...from huge news to raging bull to a surge of excellent posts on Silicon Investor to discussion on internet stock message boards. 9. That idt has initiated a policy of news being released on a regular schedule, involving everything from leading telecom partners in Europe to a major multi-media e-commerce portal to formal authorization for the spinoff and the corporate investor. That all of this is based on real business, market leadership in internet telephony, hard growth in revenue and customers, innovative leadership in e-commerce....which is why it is being recognized more and more as a coming player throughout the internet world. << --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
