Perhaps your mistaken.

When VideoLink is combined with DataPower products, it is possible to have a meaningful low cost video
conferencing systems designed to function over POTS analog phone lines. VideoLink can also support IDSN
connectivity allowing the same functionally over four digital phone lines. A mixture of IDSN and POTS
connections is possible.

Real time picture refresh rate 60 fields per sec

Motion Video: 20fps @ SQCIF & 15fps @ QCIF

Word I got is that this thing Really does work and they have big orders already.
BTW Why did you fail to mention SQCIF??

Hello SpyHard,

I like the movie too (SpyHard). Are we looking at the same product page? datapowerusa.com I see them being in compliance H.324 protocol no big deal. I don't understand your statement of their product doesn't work? Maybe I misread your post. 15 frames per second is good video over a standard pots line. Wait until ADSL and cable modems are in place and watch the bandwidth handle 30 frames per second now thats VCR quality isn't it?. This outfit has hardware solutions as well as software codec solutions. I see them focused on video in the home and commercial markets, please ref the products page. I too am a developer and am very excited about company's using this technology. I no longer believe this technology is a solution looking for a problem. I'm looking forward to other announcements from this company I will be tracking them. Oh and David Sirk I know your enthusiastic about ISSM's prospects but please try not to spread the word across so many threads, tends to look a bit hypish buddy. I saw your posts using the Cooler's new search engine.

David,

I looked at ISSM about six month ago when someone told me to buy. ISSM apparently had some technology which unfortunately cost too much money to manufacture.

The new company doesn't have a product. Everything they sell already exists and doesn't sell. When they refer to 15 frames per second they also specify a QCIFF format. That will give one inch by one inch picture. If you read the specs on the video phone TV their technology can only give you still pictures.

Not to rain on your parade, it is possible that they are working on better things, but at this point they don't have anything.

O, and before you start yelling the reason I know is because I'm working with two start up companies in the Bay Area on the same problem. I can't tell you that we have got all of the solutions, I can only tell their product doesn't work.

Best Regards,
Spy Hard.
