I use Netscape composer, I found it easier and it's free with Netscape. My son uses it and has his own site:

cybercomm.net

Check it out, done with composer. But 16 yr olds brains work better that us old folks! <G> He just finished a high school web class, but new most of what they were teaching from composer. I think you will like the Netscape program.

Best of luck,
Mark

I have two sites, and own 2 domains. hiosilver.com is a commercial site. fresh-breath.com is an information site which helps send traffic to hiosilver.

hiosilver.com was created with an inexpensive ecommerce software solution called Web Business Builder ($95 complete). WBB does kind of force you to go to a limited # of ISP's that support the software on their servers. Do not try this software except with the preferred providers unless you want to waste a lot of time. Another inexpensive ecommerce solution: check www.weborder.com

fresh-breath.com was created with Front Page. Both of these programs are quirky. You do need to find a guide to HTML. It is not that complicated. Key piece of info: For any site, use your browser to view code (on IE, go "View", "Source").

Best advice possible to anyone contemplating a web site: Buy the book Poor Richard's Web Site (www.poorrichard.com).

One very important part of a site is graphics. Get a program like Photoshop, or PaintShop Pro, and start learning graphics.
