Revolutionary Software Repair Technology Acquired

MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 3, 1999--Planet City Software (NASD BB:PINC), is pleased to announce that it will introduce a vastly improved version of the Millennium Bug Compliance Kit to be available no later than March 1, 1999.

The most important part of this software's technology will be a new and improved software scan that will not only flag potentially problematic software but will fix common Y2K problems with such software titles as Access, Excel, and Lotus 123. In addition, it will renovate software applications by allowing the user to change two digit dates to four digit dates.

"This renovation program will present a significant advantage over all other competitors," according to Rudy Rupak, president of Planet City Software Publishing.

While computer owners believed that fixing a computer's BIOS and Real Time Clock was enough to see them through the impeding Y2K problem, they have overlooked the fact that a lot of their spreadsheet and database files only have 2 digit dates and since these dates were created by the user, the computer will not know what century to apply to these dates, or worse, it might assume the dates belong to the 21st century. Even the most compliant computer is still vulnerable to this problem.

In addition to this renovation program, major improvements have been made to the software to make it simple to use. The new version will be simpler to load, use, and register. The company plans to launch the title with an initial run of television infomercials and a massive telemarketing and direct mail campaigns. Retailers such as J&R Electronics and DataVision have already made initial orders of the Millennium Bug Compliance Kit.

Businesses are only now beginning to realize the potential havoc the Y2K problem will create. There are over 200 million PC's that are not compliant. Planet City is offering a solution with its new software remediation and renovation tool. PC users must protect their data.
