One thing is for sure I can tell you this. If Novell is selling stock they are giving it away at sure fire bargain prices. Smart money is accumulating their stock off the board. Once that is out of the way the stock will be in very strong hands. Once it is announced that the more than half of their position has been sold to the marketplace the stock will rally to even higher levels. If major institutions like mutual funds are responsible for picking up the majority of stock from Novell I can see that the funds expectations are at least a double or triple from here. This is a bullish sign that Novell is getting out. The percentage of shares that Novell will be able to sell this quarter is much much more than the 600000 shares allocated under Rule 144 by the SEC. The volumes have increased dramatically in the last three month period. I have the Nasdaq rules here in front of me and will probably take me the better of half a night to find the formula on calculating the increase of the sale of stock for Novell by the SEC under Rules 144. Otherwise More info from the past: Insider Trading Activity Filers Name Title Trade Trade Shares Price Date Type Traded Range Shares NOVELL INC. 10/01/98 Sell 638,000 $1.88 - 7,617,000 Held B/O $2.27 NOVELL INC. 09/30/98 Sell 21,000 $2.31 8,255,000 B/O NOVELL INC. 08/04/98 Sell 84,000 $1.53 8,276,000 B/O NOVELL INC. 07/01/98 Sell 590,000 $1.50 - 8,360,000 B/O $2.09 It could read soon like this in another three months 7,500,000 $4.00- 0 shares $5.00 If the volumes continue to rise like this on a daily basis Novell will have no problem selling all the rest of their shares coming in the next three month cycle. The stock will be readily absorbed by the market place based on the ongoing strong support for Corel. Damn Im still looking for this rule defintion and formula for sale under Rule 144. These rules are so long. It is like going through the Encyclopedia Britannica and takes forever. On that note Goodnight to all In LA LA land. The Dreamworld.
