Joe,
Nice composition.

"I don't recall MIFGY being there. But RATL really captured the audience with component-based development. Bottom line is I look for MIFGY to make a mark in the OEM world, not the average joe programmer-company dp shop world. IF COBOL, then certainly MIFGY, but if Web-enable, then MANY players. "

Why do you think MIFGY missed the opportunities in db, lack of vision/leadership or false belief that COBOL will live forever?

I don't have previous annual reports, but it would be interesting to see what the growth was over the past three - five years and where the growth was in MIFGY. Where were they spending their money and what was the return on that direction. Maybe when i get some free time, i'll go searching and see what they really did, maybe that will provide light on when they will recover and if they they have a valid plan.

Joe, thanks for the response. I think we all agree on the
importance of E@Commerce and web enabling. The trick here is for
MIFGY to capitalize on this opportunity and project this visibility to
the investment community. Maybe that is happening somewhat today as
I noticed it opened strong. Part of the visibility issue is right
here at SI with some more good dialogue like we just had. Thanks
again to all.
