Glad to see someone else caught that. You may note what it
doesn't say:

"will have comparable price/performance to ANY AND ALL RISC
chips at introduction"

that would have been more appropriate but unfortunately an
untrue statement. The statement you see above with some
editorial interpretation is meaningless. So what if they
have comparable performance to MIPS when it ships! MIPS
is dogmeat and SGI knows it. Same with POWERPC.
The .18 21264 will be volume shipping late this year,
early next year. That is a killer part... never mind .25 21264
it too will smoke Merced and is volume by June.

Sit on that quote. It will be laughable by year-end.
