Sent a brief note to TAVA. Suggested to Mr. Jenkins that enthusiasm would not be viewed as hype during the CC and SHM, but rather as confidence. Asked for sector performance reports if individual companies couldn't be named. Asked that they prominently mention the new direction for PR and IR. Thanked them for their recent efforts. Asked them to find some gentle way to divert irrelevent questions, to keep the focus on the big picture. fma

Runner,

FYI, just spoke with a friend in Tenn. who recently purchased a hand operated mill for grain. Most suppliers were sold out and said they have back orders - due to Y2K buyers.

These are the signs of fear not yet reported, rather scorned, in the press. But they will be reported. It sells papers. Simple.

Cheers,
Bond

Runner, You are right on about ordinary people stocking up. A large hardware store in Austin, Tx reports one of its biggest Y2K sellers is NEW (unused) paint cans. People use them to store grain, etc.
