QWST to Announce A $1 Billion Contract From the Government Today's Wall Street Journal is reporting the following: "Qwest Communications International Inc. is expected to announce today that it has won a contract valued at $1 billion over seven years to supply advanced data services to the U.S. Treasury Department." The article later states, "Analysts said the new agreement is a big boost for Qwest, "It's a huge contract, and it's a government contract that's hard to win," says Linda Meltzer, an analyst with Warburg Dillon Read LLC."
