Yes you can deduct margin interest, but only to offset gains. If you lost $100,000 trading last year and then tried to claim the margin interest loss, you'd get hauled in.

Use Schedule A, Itemized deductions, line 13 - Investment Interest.

In order to calculate the deduction that you are allowed for Investment Interest, you will be required to complete form 4952 - "Investment Interest Expense Worksheet".
